Audie Shushan is a writer. Originally from Colorado and now based in Chicago, IL, she has worked as an editor, a bookseller, a teacher, and, for a brief stint, as a horse carriage driver. She holds an MFA from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she was awarded the Eileen Van Buren Prize for Fiction. Audie is a Creative Writing Fellow with the Luminarts Cultural Foundation of Chicago and has been awarded residencies by Ragdale, the Ox Bow School of Art, and the Library of the Union League Club of Chicago. She is currently at work on a novel about a family of carousel keepers.
